Silicone Modified Polyester
The Dean Standard Color System is based on a high content silicone modified polyester coating over a superior primer system. The pre-coated panels are produced under a strict quality assurance program that require recorded physical test data on each pre-coated coil.
DURASTAR® silicone modified polyester coil coatings are designed for two-coat application on properly cleaned and pretreated steel substrates. DURASTAR® SMP coatings offer superior performance in harsh environments. It is engineered with a proprietary resin technology and an innovative formulation process. DURASTAR® SMP coatings outperform other silicone-polyester coatings for resistance to chalk, fade, corrosion and moisture and are available with up to a 40-year limited warranty. The system cleans easily, has excellent stain resistance and can be recoated.

The Dean Extended-Life Color System is a polyvinylidene fluoride resin based finish containing high quality pigments. It has excellent resistance against weathering, corrosion, harness, chemicals and abrasion.
PVdF coatings are highly resistant to chalking and fading due to the inherent nature of the resin’s chemistry. When the PVdF resins are combined with other durable ingredients, such as ceramic pigmentation, the resulting paint’s resistance to chalking and fading is unequaled. In addition, the coatings are unaffected by dirt and other airborne particles and clean easily with a little soap and water. PVdF coated panels are available with up to a 25-year limited warranty.
